Maids in Dubai are a vital part of the workforce, providing essential services to many households. Here is an overview of what the law requires for maids working in the UAE.

One of the most important regulations is that employers must provide at least one day off each week for their maids. During this time, they must be free from all duties and responsibilities, including housework. They should also have access to transportation on their day off so that they can use it for leisure activities or socializing with friends and family.

The law also states that any maid who has worked continuously for two years should receive an annual vacation from their employer. This period should be one month and should include round-trip airfare back to her home country if she wishes to return there during her vacation period. Additionally, any unused vacation days must be paid out by the employer upon termination of service.

When it comes to working hours, Dubai law states that a maid cannot work more than 9 hours per day or 48 hours per week without overtime pay. Additionally, if a maid works over 6 consecutive days, then she must have one full day off in which she is not required to work at all. Employers are also responsible for ensuring that employees get rest periods throughout their shifts; these should be at least one hour long and free from any kind of duties or responsibilities.
